Luosto Amethyst mine makes an unique tour destination – especially so when reached on an electric snowmobile! Ride across the Arctic forests with the maximum elegance and minimum emission. The best thing? Dig your own amethyst and bring it home!
The e-snowmobile tour to Luosto Amethyst mine starts in Pyhä, the neighbouring fell resort. The both Pyhä and Luosto are located right next to the magical Pyhä-Luosto National Park, snow-blanketed usually from November until May. You may choose to ride solo or to share the experience with a passenger.
The route takes the e-explorers across beautiful Arctic Taiga forests and across vast, ancient mires. The Amethyst mine will be reached after some 40 km of silent and exhaustion-fume-free riding.
At the mine visitors will get invited into the fascinating world of amethyst. The saga of amethyst is mind-blowing when performed by the knowledgeable Luosto mine guides! After the presentation the best is yet to come: the small group of Bliss Adventure guests will be guided into the mine, handed a compact mining axe and instructed how to discover one's very own amethyst! Then it is all finders keepers, you may keep your amethyst and bring it home.
E-snowmobiles are suited also to the absolute beginner. They are safe, fun and easy to ride, no previous experience will be required. Just sit on the comfy seat and let the noise-free vehicle take you forward!
After the tour it is time to ride back to Pyhä. A delicious meal will be served on the way, and the Bliss guide will be available to share some stories about sometimes extreme life in Lapland for the interested ones.
Note: At least two adults are always required for booking activity. After this you may also add children at a lower price €150.
Pick up from the Lapland Hotels Luostotunturi in Luosto starts 30 minutes before departure. Pick up from the CAMP Kitchen & Bar in Pyhä starts 15 minutes before departure.
