Experience traditional Nordic ways of fishing under the ice with a professional guide. For locals, lake Pyhäjärvi has been a food source for ages. We will take you to the beautiful historical lake and the river ice and you will learn about traditional and modern winter fishing methods, and you can participate in checking fishing nets and traps. The chance to catch some fish is good. We will enjoy small snacks (and maybe prepare some fresh fish) by an open fire at the end of the program. During the experience you will gain an insight into traditional local lifestyle and culture, may feel the excitement when checking traps, enjoy the nature and stunning view – and help restore the water bodies in the area by reducing the amount of fish.
What's included?
We provide pick-up from Pyhä area by car, professional guiding, picnic by open fire and hot drinks.
What do i need to bring?
Bring warm clothing according to the weather plus some extra layers and mittens. This activity does not include much moving so it is important to wear warm clothes and shoes.
Cancellation Policy
We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 7 days or less before event.
We will charge a cancellation fee of 50% if booking is cancelled 14 days or less before event.
