Kid’s Ice Climbing Adventure in Pyhä Lapland

Now even the younger ones can join the ice climbing safely and playfully! Also suitable for an adventurous family.

2 hours and 30 minutes EASY

A suitable climbing experience also and especially for the kids (with their parents or guardians). Ice climbing wall offers tailored safe routes for the smaller climbers, where the ice axes nor crampons are not a must for a successful experience of climbing. Easy access to the climbing venue, roughly a 10 minute walk from Hotel Pyhätunturi. Perhaps footprints or some other signs of the infamous Tajukangas Yeti can be found on the snow…

A Bliss guide will wait for the clients at the CAMP Kitchen & Bar. After the meet & greet a Bliss' guide will equip the clients with the relevant gear at the Bliss' premises near-by. For the children’s' climbing routes climbing boots are not a must. Then a guide will take the clients to Tajukangas ice wall and lavvu.

Team Bliss has created a suitable climbing route to kids at Tajukangas. It is not necessary to be able to manoeuvre ice axes or the sometimes heavy-appearing crampons to climb this route. The route offers a fair number of holds for hands and feet. A qualified Bliss instructor will belay also the kid climbers, who will use a climbing helmet (which will not only make the activity safer, but also will give the little climber right kind of spirit).

A guide will supervise the children's activity and go through all the necessary safety aspects, and share some wild stories about the history of Tajukangas and it's mysterious habitats. There will be hot berry juice available for all the adventurers throughout the action. A memorable diploma will be handed out to all the small adventurers.

Please note that the parents can "Try Ice Climbing" simultaneously with the younger ones by booking the "Adults" price category.

Note: Pick up from Luosto starts 30 minutes before departure.

Scenic Snowshoeing on the top of Pyhä Fell

Hop on the chairlift and enjoy the vast natural scenery from the top of the fell while taking your first steps in snowshoes, right next to Pyhä-Luosto National Park. Feel the peak and see the sights with the best views to fill up your Instagram!

2 hours and 30 minutes EASY

This entry-level snowshoeing tour includes a PyhäExpress chair lift ticket to the top of Pyhä Fell (weather permitting) for the best possibly views across the Pyhä-Luosto National Park and beyond! Our guide will show you how to use snowshoes in a safe environment while sharing stories of the Arctic nature, the surrounding landmarks, and the old Lappish beliefs.

Pyhä Fell offers many opportunities for photographing the changing landscape and and the surrounding nature. The frosty snow starts to cover the trees up in the fell right when the first sub-zero temperatures arrive and the warm and moist air starts to rise from the valley to the top of the fell. Photographers especially are mesmerized by these fairytale-like snow monsters and the different shapes and sizes the snow creates around the trees. Depending on time of year, you may also capture the Polar night sunrise/sunset colors or halos around the sun on a frosty winter day. Camera is a must-have accessory for the Scenic snowshoeing tour!

After visiting the top, we will walk down to the Pyhä-Luosto National Park. On the route back there are plenty to see, for example the reindeer paddock. Go and say hi to friendly reindeers! The tour can and will be tailored based on the clients’ request. Also suitable for a family (snowshoes for kids also available).

Electric Fatbike Tour to Pyhä-Luosto National Park

Hop on the electric fatbike and experience the future of trail riding. Once-in-a-lifetime cycling tour in the picturesque Arctic!

2 hours EASY

Electrically assisted fatbike, an e-fatbike, is a game changer. It is arguably the most fun and versatile bicycle ever. Due to the wide, well-gripping tyres it runs smooth also on soft snow, and thanks to the electric power unit, an e-fatbike flattens the uphills. However, the joy of pedaling is not taken away. It is only up to the e-fatbike rider, how much assistance one will request by the electric assisting system of the bicycle. Often the level of assistance correlates the width of the rider’s smile!

E-fatbike changes cycling on the forest trails much less strenuous than on conventional, 100 % muscle-powered bicycle. Bliss Adventure’s premium e-fatbikes make riding an enjoyable option also for the ones who wish to keep the effort to the minimum.

The Electric Fatbike Tour product is available both in Pyhä (Pyhätunturi) and Luosto (Luostotunturi), located just a mere 20 km from each other in Lapland. They both offer an easy access to the Pyhä-Luosto National Park’s gorgeous taiga forests and cycling trails. You will be asked during the booking process whether you want to start the Electric Fatbike Tour either from Pyhä or Luosto.

E-fatbikes are available in various frame sizes, which should match the riders’ height. The Bliss e-fatbike fleet has a suitable bike for everyone from 155 centimetres (4’13”) to 210 centimetres of height (6’11”).
