Winter 2017-2018 has been so far sweet indeed in Pyhä-Luosto area in Finnish Lapland. Skiing season kicked off already in October and never slowed down ever since ice climbing season saw a frosty start in early December. We are happy to have a beautiful fat blanket of puffy snow, currently in early February already above one meter! This makes, for example, snowshoeing and wilderness skiing tours through the unbroken snow in Pyhä-Luosto National Park truly magical.

Temperatures have been on the reasonable side, too. We are yet to witness the rather annual brutal yet entertaining -30 C and below cold. Thermometers have been showing daytime numbers from +2 C to -25 C so far, keeping the weather reasonable for outdoor activities.
