Try Ice Climbing in Pyhä Lapland – Private
Would you appreciate a more private ice climbing experience? In Pyhä, you may also choose Try Ice Climbing Private. You’ll enjoy dedicated guidance and priority access to the ice wall and its various climbing lines!
Bliss Adventure's guided groups are always small, mostly from 2 to 12 guests, often bringing together like-minded guests from all around the world. Should you wish to experience more intimate adventure, you may choose the private option. In this case the guided ice climbing activity will be exclusive for your group only, no kind strangers joining in.
How does the private ice climbing experience differ from the standard program? In both cases, the meeting point and preparations at Hotel Pyhätunturi are the same. The equipment, guiding and duration remain identical as well. The difference becomes clear once you reach the ice wall. This private session is designed exclusively for you, with dedicated instruction and reserved climbing lines on the ice wall.
A private group certainly may invite their non-climbing members to the ice wall to watch and perhaps to capture the unique activity! And to bring some snacks to be enjoyed by the bonfire always works, making the shared special moment even more rememberable.
Please note that the bonfire area at the foot of the Tajukangas Ice Wall is a public rest spot that may be used by visitors passing by. Occasionally, a small number of participants from our longer Premium Ice Climbing or Ice Climbing Day programs may also be on the wall at the same time.

Note: Pick-up from Luosto starts 30 minutes before departure. Pick-up from Pyhä locations starts 15 minutes before departure. If there are many customers at different pickup points, it is important to arrive on time and wait patiently for your own ride.

What's excluded?

What do i need to bring?
Suitable personal clothing for winter weather including proper (ski) gloves or mittens. Please also bring a balaclava or a simple woolen hat without bobble / pompom that will fit under climbing helmet. A private group certainly may invite their non-climbing members to the ice wall to watch and perhaps to capture the unique activity. And to bring some snacks to be enjoyed by the bonfire always works, making the shared special moment even more rememberable!
Please note
The Try Ice Climbing Private lasts 2,5 hours. No previous experience is needed. A basic level of fitness is needed to enjoy the ice climbing. You will have a chance of trying 2 lines depending on your stamina.
Minimum age of 12 years old (flexible, depends on child’s development, can be discussed with parents). Smaller children can do the Kid's Ice Climbing Adventure simultaneously.
Pyhä is located a 1,5 hour car drive from Rovaniemi, the closest international airport (RVN) and and Santa Claus’ headquarters. The comfortable bus ride to Hotel Pyhätunturi takes 2 hours. You may find the winter bus timetable here.
For peace of mind, we recommend checking in advance that your travel insurance covers your chosen activity.
Kindly note that 10% of the price of your tour is non-refundable. The 10% will be used to cover fees connected to your booking such as credit card transactions and other administrative charges. Refunds will only be issued to the card used to purchase the tour.
Cancellation Policy
We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 1 days or less before event.
We will charge a cancellation fee of 10% if booking is cancelled 365 days or less before event.
