Our Altai skis don’t need groomed trails, lifts, or lift tickets. In fact, they’re happiest far from them.
Designed for effortless backcountry travel, Altai skis are short, wide, and incredibly maneuverable. The integrated climbing skin delivers reliable grip for uphill terrain, while the balanced glide base keeps downhill speed smooth and easy to control.
Sitting between cross-country skis and snowshoes, Altai skis combine the simplicity and stability of snowshoes with the natural glide of skiing — no lifting, just forward movement.
Universal bindings fit most winter boots, making Altai skis accessible for almost anyone.

1 day – €30
3 days – €70
5 days – €110
What's included?
- Altai skis, poles, quick skiing instructions, map and route recommendation
- Thermos with hot berry beverage can be rented separately for €5 per 0.75L thermos
What do i need to bring?
For this activity, renters use their own winter boots. The ski bindings are designed to work with almost all types of regular winter footwear, so no special ski boots are needed. Please note that fashionable Moon Boots are not suitable for this activity, as they are usually too bulky to fit safely into the bindings and provide limited ankle support.

From Rovaniemi, the closest airport and Santa Claus’ headquarters, it takes two hours by car or by Skibus to reach us in Pyhä (Hotel Pyhätunturi).
Kindly note that 10% of the price of your rental is non-refundable. The 10% will be used to cover fees connected to your booking such as credit card transactions and other administrative charges. Refunds will only be issued to the card used to purchase the rental.
Cancellation Policy
We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 1 days or less before event.
